Dan Gallagher played by Michael Douglas wants to forget about his affair he had with Alex Forrest (Glen Close), he tries to ignore he calls, he even changes his number however Alex is so naive that she becomes friends with his wife and therefore gets the number. After continuous calls Dan breaks into Alex's flat to find something. The characters involved where Dan Gallagher (Michael Douglas),Alex Forrest (Glen Close) and Beth Gallagher (Anne Archer) the wife of Dan she happens to know nothing of the affair but she somehow suffers from the actions of Alex. The environments used were Alex's flat, car park and the house of Dan and Beth Gallagher.
One of the most significant's moments when Dan is driving and listening to Alex's cassette, this shows that she has spent time on making the cassette which shows she's obviously obsessed with him. The cassette was playing for awhile and Dan was listening to it this shows his interested in what she says.
